If you’ve been following Salsa for a while, you know we don’t sit still.
Over the past year, we’ve grown our team, powered more platforms than ever, and earned a reputation for handling the kinds of payroll complexity most providers avoid – healthcare shift differentials, 8-and-80 overtime rules, and multi-state compliance.
With that momentum came a clear opportunity: to bring our brand and storytelling up to the same level as the platform itself.
Over the past 16 weeks, we partnered with a Brooklyn-based strategy and design team, to rethink how Salsa shows up – not by reinventing who we are, but by sharpening it.
And as of this week, the new salsa.dev is officially live.
Why the refresh?
We had three clear goals:
1. Show up at the level of the biggest enterprise players – without losing our edge.
2. Make our customer and partner stories front and center.
3. Make it dramatically easier for prospects and partners to understand how we help – and how to get started.
But this wasn’t just a design upgrade. It reflects a broader shift happening across the market. Payroll is no longer a bolt-on. It’s becoming a native layer inside workforce platforms.
Scheduling tools. Staffing platforms. POS systems. Vertical SaaS for frontline industries. The leaders in each category are converging on the same conclusion:
The future is embedded payroll.
This brand evolution is our public stake in that direction – and an invitation to build it with us.
What’s new
Refined logo & identity system
We kept the brand equity – but tightened the wordmark and built a consistent set of usage rules.
Expanded color palette
Our familiar blues and violets now work alongside lilac and lime – used deliberately to drive focus and action.
Codified messaging guidelines
Salsa’s voice – expert, direct, human – now scales consistently across every channel.
A fully rebuilt website experience – Live at salsa.dev
New navigation. Clear industry pathways. Product visuals that show rather than explain.

The takeaway
This refresh was about speaking more clearly to the companies building the next generation of workforce platforms.
Whether you’re building for healthcare teams, hospitality operators, franchise networks, or shift-based workforces – if payroll is on your roadmap, now is the time to evaluate your infrastructure.
We’ve helped platforms launch embedded payroll in as little as 17 days – without rebuilding compliance logic or tax engines from scratch.
If you’re planning to own the full earnings experience for your customers, we should talk.
